Craig will be racing the same car that he raced in 2010 which has all been freshened up and prepared at the Doug Drown Racing (DDR) Workshop in Wooster, Ohio whom Craig will be once again hooked up with throughout his tour.
Craig being more familiar with his 2009 Rocket Chassis powered by a Malcuit 430ci Chevy engine and visiting some of the same tracks he has raced on in the past is hoping for better results this year. When asked what his expectations were for the 2011 tour Craig said “ We are just hoping to qualify better this year to put us in a better heat race position which then gives us a greater chance to make the A main. It’s a tough gig going to these new tracks each time and then having to put down a quick lap time in your first laps around the track. That’s why this year having raced on a few of these tracks previously and having some good notes and being familiar with the car we should be better.”
We have the support of R2C Performance Filters, Valvoline, Hoosier Tire, Poske Performance Parts & Drown Racing Bodies.
The TVR crew this year will be Brent Vosbergen (Crew Chief), Chris “ Baz” Barrie and Mark “ Woody” Woodman who are all regular TVR-8 crew members here. Woody has been over at the Drown racing shop for a week already getting everything organized and heads out racing with Doug Drown on the UMP “Hell Tour” this weekend until we arrive on the 28th June.
The TVR #8 Rocket will be in similar livery again this year.
