TVR – Chasing Points At The Plex.

Team Vosbergen Racing drivers ‘Big Bad’ Bert and “The Rocket Man” Craig Vosbergen are ready to move up to the podium this Saturday night.

The Late Model Pro Dirt Series hits the Kwinana high banks this weekend, and veteran Bert, driver of the Worldwide Construction Machinery #4… is looking forward to improve on the results from last round.

“Fourth was a good result last time out” he said “but it was tough after the problems on the night. I didn’t mean to hit Blakey (Brad Blake) and from there we were just behind the eight ball all night trying to fix the car between races.”

“But the break has given us the chance to make changes to the car that I need to improve the handling and be more competitive this time out.”

And what about the new motor? “Oh that things a BEAR” he said with obvious excitement in his voice. “I mean wow! It’s just awesome, there is nothing like it. I said before the start of this season that I was going to treat myself to this from the best engine builder in America, and I’m over the moon with that.”

So when he gets there this weekend it’s a case of just “steadily improving” as the sixty-one year old veteran claims. He doesn’t want to make any wild claims, just to sneak further up the podium each week. “I’m as fit as ever, and I know I have to be to keep up with these young guys.”

Team mate and son Craig is hoping he has it all sorted in the #8 WCM/Royal Wolf….. And can move forward in the overall results this week.

He too experienced problem with damage during one race and the loss of his tear-offs in another. Hopefully all the problems he experienced are behind him and we will see the current track champion strut his stuff at the pointy end of the field at Kwinana for the Magic Man 34 tribute night.

Be sure to catch both Bert and Craig taking on the states best Late Models at their next meeting on the 8th of November at the Perth Motorplex.
